Many women who were not eligible for Medicaid before pregnancy may become eligible with a pregnancy. Don’t overlook this possibility.  It can offer significant savings.

  • Research the Medicaid eligibility requirements in your state to find out what the options are.
  • You might also be eligible for Women Infants and Children (WIC) plan.  This includes nutrition guidance, food, breastfeeding support and other benefits.

  • If your parents know you’re pregnant, getting medical insurance is fairly straightforward.
